It is with great sadness that the club has learnt of the passing of Geoff Hirst and his beloved wife Joan. They were very long time members of the club, exceptionally well respected and universally liked.
Geoff and Joan’s daughter Viki has very kindly given the club permission to post details of their funeral, and I’m sure that many of you will want to attend and pay your last respects.
Due to a double booking of the room at the Emmott Arms, the meeting on 08th January 2018 will not be going ahead.
Our next committee meeting will be held on 05th February 2018 from 7:30pm onwards.
Please accept our apologies for any confusion caused and we look forward to seeing both old and new members there.
The ALRC reported that 'Some clubs advised there does appear to be a need to allow vehicles that are not fully compliant to ALRC regulations to be able to enter some club events at certain levels. Clubs are finding that they are turning away entries and many have seen such reduced entries in membership and events that they may no longer be able to exist as an effective club.
For the safety conscious YLROC are able to supply small fire extinguishers at a cost price.
